AI app development for iPhone, from a team that runs four AI apps

We design and build native iPhone apps around AI models: photo generation, virtual try-on, chat and voice. Four of the five apps we run ourselves are AI apps, so the hard parts are parts we deal with every day.

Who it is for

Who this is for

  • 01

Founders with an AI product idea

You know what the model should do. You need the iPhone app around it: the flows, the waiting, the paywall and a store listing that passes review.

  • 02

Teams with a model and no app

Your model works in a notebook or a web demo. We build the native app that puts it in people’s hands, against the API you already run.

  • 03

    Apps adding AI features

Generation, chat or voice added to an iPhone app you already have, built in Swift so it feels like the rest of the app.

What you get

What you get, and how it runs

Typical timeline: 8–16 weeks.

  • 01A native iOS app built in Swift and SwiftUI
  • 02Generation flows with progress, retries and failures handled
  • 03Streaming chat and audio playback
  • 04Credits or subscriptions, built on in-app purchase
  • 05The reporting and blocking tools Apple requires for AI content
  • 06App Store submission and review support
  1. 01

    Discovery

What the model does, what each request costs and what v1 includes. You leave with a written scope and a fixed quote.

  2. 02

    Architecture

Where the model runs, how requests reach it and how results come back, planned before we build.

  3. 03

    Development

Swift and SwiftUI in two-week sprints, with a TestFlight build every week.

  4. 04

    Launch

App Store submission, review support and go-live under your own Apple account, then 30 days of support.

What makes an AI app hard on iPhone

What makes an AI app hard on iPhone

The model is rarely the hard part. Running four AI apps of our own, these are the parts we plan for from day one.

  • The wait

A generation takes seconds, not milliseconds. Clear progress, a sensible retry when a request fails, and a result that is still there when the person comes back to the app.

  • The economics

Every request costs money. Credits or a subscription priced around that cost, and credits bought through in-app purchase that never expire, as Apple’s guidelines require.

  • Consent

Apple asks apps to say clearly when personal data, such as a photo, is shared with a third-party AI service, and to get permission first (guideline 5.1.2). We build that into the flow.

  • Moderation

Apple treats AI content creation apps like user-generated content: they need filtering, a way to report content and a way to block abusive users (guideline 1.2).

Our own apps

The same team runs five apps of its own

Designed, built and operated in-house, in Swift and SwiftUI. What we learn running them goes into the apps we build for you.
