App Store screenshot sizes for 2026

Every screenshot size App Store Connect accepts, the ones you have to upload, and a free checker that tells you where your images fit.

What you have to upload

Three sets cover almost every app

Apple now requires the medium Dynamic Island size for iPhone, not the 6.9-inch one most older guides mention. Upload a large set as well, and a 13-inch set if your app runs on iPad.

  • iPhoneRequired

    Dynamic Island, medium display

    • 1206 × 2622px
    • 1179 × 2556px

iPhone 18 Pro, 17 Pro, 17, 16 Pro, 16, 15 Pro, 15 and 14 Pro. Portrait sizes shown; landscape is the same turned sideways.

  • iPhoneUpload one large set

    Large display

    • 1320 × 2868px
    • 1290 × 2796px
    • 1260 × 2736px

Dynamic Island, large display. Apple marks the large Face ID size (1284 × 2778 or 1242 × 2688) as required when these are not provided.

  • iPadIf the app runs on iPad

    13-inch display

    • 2064 × 2752px
    • 2048 × 2732px

    iPad Pro (M5, M4 and earlier 12.9-inch models) and iPad Air (M4, M3, M2).

  • Up to 10

screenshots per device size, and at least one

  • .png or .jpeg

.jpeg, .jpg and .png are the accepted formats

  • No alpha

images cannot include alpha channels or transparency

  • Scaled down

smaller devices get scaled copies, if the interface is the same

Coming in April 2027: screenshots for iPhone Duo, at 1398 × 2034 for the outer display and 2007 × 2853 for the inner display, will be required for apps using the iOS 27.1 SDK or later.

Drop in your exported screenshots. The checker tells you which App Store size each one matches, whether it has an alpha channel, and which required sets you still need.

Then localise

One set of sizes, then one set per language

Screenshots are set per language in App Store Connect, so each market can see your app in its own words. Roller, our free Figma plugin, localises screenshot text into 39 languages at iPhone and iPad sizes.

Screenshots must also show the app in use, not only a splash screen or title art. More on that in why apps get rejected by App Store review.
